Fjöður saddle

The Fjöður saddle is made with a carbon fibre tree, which gives both a low weight of approx. 5 kg and anatomically correct flexibility. The construction in many layers of carbon fibre makes it possible to control how the saddle moves between the horse and the rider. This gives a better fit and weight distribution, also while riding, when the horse's back constantly changes shape.

The saddle has a soft seat in top quality leather with really good "grip". The seat has medium depth and a fairly narrow waist, which gives close contact with the horse and so helps make the small aids more precise.

The knee rolls are soft and anatomically shaped, giving the rider a centred position in the saddle and thus good weight distribution.

The saddle has single-layer flaps, which also contribute to good, close contact with the horse.

The panels are filled with several layers of latex foam with different properties. At the bottom, towards the horse, there is a soft material that helps with adaptation and fit, and at the top a firmer material that gives good weight distribution. The panels are wide and give a large support surface, while there is plenty of room for the horse's spine in the wide channel.

The saddle is particularly well suited to the short Icelandic back, and thanks to the angle of the tree points and the design of the panels it has very large shoulder freedom, which allows the horse to move freely in the tölt.

The width of the saddle can be changed to 7 different angles from 73° to 105° by changing the gullet iron (model A). Length: 17" (46 cm).
